I am a chiropractor and rehabilitation practitioner specialising in electrotherapy and CRET therapy, including advanced INDIBA techniques. As an INDIBA Trainer, I combine this with chiropractic and physiotherapy, alongside advanced acupunctureand radiology-informed assessment, to deliver evidence-based rehabilitation for both people and horses.
My professional journey began in the equine world. While working as a groom in Cheltenham, I became fascinated by watching horses train, which sparked a lasting interest in movement and performance. I went on to become head girl at a thoroughbred breeding stud, working closely with youngstock for the European Bloodstock Sales. This experience developed my observational skills and cemented my interest in biomechanics.
After returning to Sussex, I worked in horse racing while preparing for my degree in Chiropractic. Once qualified, I worked at the Worthing Manos Clinic before establishing my own practice in Henfield, West Sussex. I then compleated an apprentiship with Chartered ACPAT physiotherapist Liz Hadland, this expanded my work into physiotherapy and reinforced the value of combining professional disciplines.
I have worked extensively within elite sport across both equine and human disciplines, including international competition environments such as the Crystal Cup Racing Series across Europe, and I continue to travel regularly to Ireland to work at The Curragh. Alongside this elite-level work, I treat human athletes, both high-performing individuals, and members of the local community, supporting both performance-related demands and day-to-day musculoskeletal injuries.
My human clinical work has a particular focus on chronic and overlapping pain conditions, including long-standing injuries that have not responded to standard conservative treatment. This cross-disciplinary experience allows me to apply principles from elite sport and advanced rehabilitation to deliver effective, individualised care across a wide clinical spectrum.
Alongside my clinical work, I also rode professionally in racing and eventing, giving me first-hand insight into the physical demands placed on both horse and rider. Today, my work reflects this combined experience through advanced clinical practice, the delivery of professional training, talks, and seminars, and a clear commitment to raising standards within the field.
My clinical ethos is to bring animal musculoskeletal therapy in line with the standards seen in elite human musculoskeletal therapy. All my work is grounded in evidence-based practice and experience, with a focus on science-backed, target-specific, and discipline-specific rehabilitation, alongside injury prevention and long-term performance.
